Rustic Bamboo Low Stool

Rustic low stool handmade with bamboo and rattan, traditionally used in the countryside and mountainous areas of Thailand and Myanmar. Similar designs of low seating furniture are used all over Asia and are related to better posture while sitting near the ground. We also like to use it as a low side table or plant stand.  

This is a piece of ancient design, crafted by artisans of the border between Northern Thailand and Myanmar. Small scale of production, few pieces available.
